The SHEM Executive Committee

The executive committee has the power to act on behalf of the full board. The executive committee is a standing committee that often acts as a steering committee for the full board. Functioning as a steering committee, the executive committee prioritizes issues for the full board to address.

Diana Reyna Zeballos Rivas

Lara is a lawyer, with postgraduate degrees in International Relations and Global Health and Health Diplomacy (Dec 2022). She is also studying for her master’s degree in Human Development at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO). She has more than 10 years of experience in international public health and contributes to Fiocruz’s Global Health Observatory by monitoring Civil Society Organizations. Since 2017, Lara has been working as a consultant for the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization. She is currently PAHO/WHO’s consultant for information management and monitoring and evaluation in the field of health emergencies.

Andre Sales

Phd in Psychology, Post Doctoral researcher at Sao Paulo Catholic University and International Visitor Researcher at the Graduate Center in the City University of New York. Andre is a Social Psychologists who spent the last 10 years studying protests, social movements and democracy in a world in turmoil. At SHEM he work as Head of Communication and Strategic Relations.

Gustavo Buss (Fiocruz)

PhD in Communications, Specialist in Public Health and Health Network Management. WHO Member of the Roster of Experts for Digital Health for the Digital Health Atlas. Executive Secretary of the One Health Project for the Expansion of Fiocruz in Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and leading team of the Protocol of Intentions between Fiocruz and Govern of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (2020-2025). Post-graduation professor at Fiocruz. SHEM Digital Communications Consultant, since 2022.
