When must we start to act?
In 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. alerted us to "the fierce urgency of now". Analyzing his time, as if he was talking about ours, he concluded: "in this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late". To achieve sustainable health equity, we are already late in addressing the two biggest intertwined challenges of our time: social inequality and the climate crisis.
